I had a meeting with my Oncologist (cancer doctor) today. He wanted to see how I was doing after my first treatment, and what kind of side effects I had been experiencing. We went through my list (I’ll share that list in another post) and talked about a few things we could change to help during the next rounds. He is going to adjust my Neulasta shot to 1/2 the dose (if my white blood cell count is up) and this should help with a lot of the pain I experienced last week.
ok…now for some really good news! I told him that I hadn’t been experiencing any pain in my arm (I had been for weeks before treatment) and that the swelling was gone. When he examined my armpit to check the Lymph Nodes and he could no longer find any swelling, at all! He felt the lump in my breast and said he noticed a significant change in size ๐ย He was a little shocked at the response from only the 1st treatment, and was super encouraged. He even said that if I’m responding this well that the tumor could just melt away!!!
At our first meeting he was pretty sure I would need a Mastectomy, now he’s talking Lumpectomy if things continue like this ๐
God hears our prayers! Keep Praying!

What is NEULASTA?
This medicine is used to stimulate the growth of “healthy” white blood cells in the bone marrow. One of the side effects (for some) is that it makes your bones hurt, bad…real bad, as your bone marrow expands (inside your bones) – yep, not fun.
So happy for you.โกโกโก
